A Red Necked Grebe on her nest somewhere in Colorado. After we saw and photographed this Red Necked Grebe we did a little research and found out through the bird watching grapevine this was the first pair to have ever been reported to be nesting in Colorado. A week latter, in what must have been an attempt to provide this pair some privacy, all information about this pair on the aforementioned birding website had been removed. We hope their nesting was successful and they return again next year.
I hope so too. Best wishes, Red Necked Grebe!

Hi, yes it was quite fun to see this pair. I am not a full on birder so I had no idea that seeing them nesting in CO was unheard of. Hope yo have a great weekend.
