Hi, these are one of our favorites that we don’t have in the city but are abundant out on the prairie to the east. LikeLike November 7, 2017 at 7:21 pm Reply
A sweet-sounding bird that I understand is in decline. 😦 A beautiful portrait you’ve captured of one, Mike. LikeLike October 24, 2017 at 4:35 pm Reply

These are fun birds to watch. They hang out on open grasslands and prefer disturbed soil so we often seem them along some of the dirt roads we drive on when east of the Rockies. LikeLike November 7, 2017 at 7:23 pm Reply
Hi and glad we can introduce you to these birds. Always fun to watch especially in spring with the breeding colors very vibrant. LikeLiked by 1 person November 7, 2017 at 7:23 pm Reply
