With a cooler and wetter summer so far it’s nice to have a warm blanket to throw over your lap when the afternoon rain moves in and the temperature drops 20 degrees.
While not a thick wool blanket the recent patch of Blanket Flower blooming nearby does warm thing up when the weather turn a bit cool on a summer afternoon.
Here’s to a sunny and warm weekend where you may roam.
Waiting and anticipating a cooler summer day here so I can get out for longer periods.

Not cool here with a high heat warning today (95˚) and tomorrow (93˚). No blankets for me.
But, the flowers are gorgeous.

Beautiful series, Mike. No cool temps here this weekend, I’m afraid. Sweltering!

Thunderstorm this weekend but going to be a scorcher this coming week, perfect summer days. Love the flower, a blanket of sunshine indeed.😊

These are beautiful flowers. It’s hot here, and whenever someone says something about rain cooling things off, I know they’re from west of the Mississippi. Here it just gets steamier, unless there’s a cold front behind it, which is actually supposed to happen tomorrow!
