Lovely picture. We get these in New Zealand – guessing they were introduced like so many species here. They are pretty fast movers when they want to be…not easy to photograph.
Hi, they are fast especially on the ground when they are headed for the cover of a bush or shrub. Then they wait until you turn your back and scurry to the next bush or shrub. They are fun to listen to when the males are calling for the females. Hope your day is going well.
