Mr. Muddy Beak A.K.A. a male Yellow Headed Blackbird was digging through the mud on the banks of Lake John in Walden, CO looking for a meal. So much color packed into those little Yellow Feathers.

    1. Must have been quite a sighting and fun as well. Do they stay in your neck of the woods in the summer or was this one just passing through? Thanks for the feedback as these males are indeed very colorful and so much fun to watch singing form cattails to the females. Hope you have a wonderful week.

      1. I think it was just passing through. Never saw another one. Yes, it was a thrill. Didn’t know if I should stand there and enjoy it or run for my camera. Ok, I ran for my camera. Lol
