Really like this photo, Mike, with the long neck and intense red eye, and the reflection of both. I find grebes so very difficult to spot for very long because they pop up and submerge so quickly…making this challenging bird even more celebrated here.
Thanks Jet, they are good divers aren’t they. We always play a little game of guessing where they will pop back up when they are hunting. Most of the time I am way off.
