HI we also have a feeder for the finches but ours are the rosy red hose finches and the males are looking very vibrant this year.

Hi Jim, these guys are not a typical bird for us in the summer so I can only imagine what a treat it must be to have them around for extended periods of time.

They are here year-round in large numbers. The males are bright yellow and black in the summer. The rest of the year they are a dull olive green. They are one of our favorites.

Lovely capture. I have been serenaded by the gorgeous sounds of chaffinches, bull and gold finches for some weeks now. With the gossipy swifts joining in, it’s so noisy. They hardly ever seem to sleep!
