Although the crops have long been harvested this farmers field was full of life with White Tailed Deer and Ring Necked Pheasants sharing the remains of a season growth.
Those deer are looking at you!!! Trying to figure out whether that’s a gun or not. It’s amazing how often they ARE looking at the photographer. Alert creatures, being prey animals, I guess. gorgeous photo and I live that the pheasants are in it as well–with very little cover.
HI and yes they were probably more hunters than photographers eyeing those deer over the past few weeks and being able to figure out who is who is an important skill. We also found it exciting to see both the pheasants as well as the deer hanging out together. In fact the pheasants were much more wary of our car pulling over than the deer were. They split the scene almost before the car had come to a complete stop.
HI and hope your day is going well. Those deer should be signaling an alarm as we saw many a pick-up truck carrying their seasons catch on that weekend.
Oh, they are beautiful!! 🌲🦌🌲🦌🌲🦌

Great photograph. The deer in the far background has had enough and with tail up is signaling the possibility of danger.
