There are times when it feels like the limbs of trees are reaching out like tentacles not to capture you but draw you in to the forest. To spend some time and keep those old trees company.
To do a little dance and move through the forest without noise.
To summon you up into the tree tops and breathe in the air.
just like tentacles.
nature has no boss

Amazing combination of images. I find that trees bring out their strongest character when they are bare which you prove to my reckoning.

I agree that bare trees display a very raw essence of freeness so to speak. Perhaps the tree without leaves demonstrate the basic fractal pattern of life and we can see (feel) it when looking at winter trees.
