The sly guy from yesterdays post spent hours circling and eyeing the cook tent and then with a smooth precision strike makes off with a slice of rockbread, dubbed so by our kayaking group as it was an almost indestructible, albeit edible, loaf of bread that we had plenty of on our voyages in greenland. I am sure it was a great addition to this foxes diet as every morsel will help in surviving the upcoming winter.

Flying free on a calm summer day the view must be spectacular.

We watched this rabbit rapidly move from hole to hole keeping a lookout all the while and for good reason. Up on the nearby hill coyotes were lounging in the grass. Photographed at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge

Tasty grass, a sunny day and an ocean view all enjoyed sitting on a bed of lush green succulents. What more could you ask for if you were a costal ground squirrel.
