Enjoying the beauty of a winters day.

Quietly looking out on a blue-grey day.
The skies so heavy yet flakes don’t fly.
A day that weighs with nothing special yet grabs your attention with a quiet shout.
Nothing to say on a day like today.

Instead of an after dinner drink a nice nap in the golden grass warmed by the sun makes a fine Digestif for this Pronghorn.

At Rivers Edge a Long Billed Curlew passes for a moment to enjoy the view. Although it is several months away I am itching for the return of the curlew to our norther climes and the wonderful song they sing.

Sitting alone in the winter marsh as the cattail melts away.
Female Red winged Blackbird.

On a quiet morning.
The sun shines bright behind thin clouds as tracks tell a tale in the snow.
