Looking out into the West Elk WIlderness in central Colorado.

From marsh shrubs to sagebrush to pine forest to snow-covered peaks. A wide open landscape sure helps bring peace and quiet to a busy brain. Looking out from the marshlands at Red Rocks National Wildlife Refuge in Montana.

Majestic peaks light by the morning sun.
Sliding closer with each stride waiting for the sun to warm our bones.
As eyes gaze across the valley.

As the sun rose the moon set.
A silent rhythm heard.
And so the day began.

While not my typical triple Americano a beautiful mountain sunrise warms the bones and gets the day off to a great start just like a fine cup of joe.

Looking out at slices and slices of the diverse landscape in Yellowstone. From big open skies and snow capped mountains framed by hot springs and trees. All littles slices that come together to make this place unique. A fine winter day indeed.

Dawn light and wintery peaks captured with the old black Holga. Getting up early isn’t all that bad sometimes.
