I think these two Ravens might have been having a little conversation and perhaps it went like this…
Let’s get outside and enjoy the weekend before it slips away.
Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend.

Enjoying the beauty of a winters day.

A quiet morning spent admiring a group of Male Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep.
There were four or five hanging out this morning sometimes grouped together and sometimes spaced apart. Like a typical group of boys they we always eying each other and taking little jabs in oh so subtle ways. Yet, as is usually the case, no scuffles occurred that day.

It was a pleasure to have this time to get to know this very handsome group of guys.

Quietly looking out on a blue-grey day.
The skies so heavy yet flakes don’t fly.
A day that weighs with nothing special yet grabs your attention with a quiet shout.
Nothing to say on a day like today.

As usual the Great Horned Owl chicks spotted us before we spotted them this spring afternoon a year or two ago. Tucked neatly into an old broken cottonwood tree one chick up and one tucked neatly inside with only an eye peeking through. The Owls may have paired up already and soon the eggs will be laid. New chicks are already on the way. How time flies.

Instead of an after dinner drink a nice nap in the golden grass warmed by the sun makes a fine Digestif for this Pronghorn.

In a land of cold, hot water.
Blue and grey walk hand in hand.
Snow and steam abound.
Contrast therapy soothes the soul.

At Rivers Edge a Long Billed Curlew passes for a moment to enjoy the view. Although it is several months away I am itching for the return of the curlew to our norther climes and the wonderful song they sing.
