Taking a quick trip down memory lane back to a summer day and a little pond not far from home. The frogs were abundant the grass was long and temperature a bit warmer than on this winter day.
Just a moment in time spent seeing the world through a frogs eyes on a calm warm summer day.
When the wind blew above the hill on a late fall day I took comfort in having time for observation in this period dominated by information.
Male American Widgeon all dressed up for the breeding season. I have never seen a widgeon with so much iridescence in his head feathers. They usually appear a nice bright green. These appeared a golden-copper color with a hint of green. His bill and top of head were also much whiter than I had previously seen as the blue color was almost gone. Another great day at the local pond.
