Yes, the sun did rise, and when it did it illuminated the beautiful colors of a Male Evening Grosbeak perfectly.
Colors rise and then they fade
Quietly as a gentle breeze blows
A new day
Clouds above a cliff all reflecting in a river. A good morning indeed.
A mule deer makes good company while waiting for sun to warm things up in the early morning light and you don’t even have to share your coffee.
A bit of frost and a sunny day makes a beautiful way to start the week.
Rise and shine
A big beautiful sunrise is a nice way to start the day.
…and if your viewing this post in the evening just image it as sunset.
A male Yellow Rumped Warbler gleans a small meal from the aspen leaves as the sun just begins to shine in the forest.
Wake up call
Well before me, well before the sun the Robins wake and start the day with a song. Lying in bed I hear them sing then nod back off again until the sun peaks out.
A Robins song is not a bad wake up call at all.
Better than coffee?
While not my typical triple Americano a beautiful mountain sunrise warms the bones and gets the day off to a great start just like a fine cup of joe.
