Silent sunset
With things quieting down for the evening we found a Northern Flicker sitting quietly facing into the glow of the evening light.
No Drumming, singing or calling just a silent sunset.
When frogs sing.
The Sun sets and frogs begin to sing. Wonderful rhythms to end the day.
Without a sound
As silently as the sun comes up it goes down.
At Sunset
Putting another day to bed while taking a long look at what felt like a very short sunset. Now the lakes are frozen over and sunset comes all too soon yet each day brings something special. Looking back as a way of looking forward to today.
Oh Humbug
Evening approaches at a place they call Humbug point.
Not sure why they named it this as there was nothing to be Humbug about.

A setting sun and a risen moon each contributing a special light to an expansive landscape.

A big beautiful sunrise is a nice way to start the day.
