A young wolf cub blends into their environment and settles down to welcome the first warming rays of the summer sun.
On last summers kayaking trip we were able to spend a few days in the company of a small wolf pack with several cubs. The young ones would gather each morning on this beach just as the sun came up. This one knew just where to lay to catch those first warming rays.

Working our way up the ridges towards the sky in Great Sand Dunes National Park. Being in a landscape of essentially two elements felt oddly strange and yet serene. Simple yet complex. On first glance simple but with each probe further the simplicity and patterns repeat. Sky and Sand then sand and wind and so it goes. November, 2015.
