Another wonderful year of blogging has passed and we would like to thank you all out there for making it such a rewarding experience. Can’t wait to see what this year has in store and having the opportunity to share a few tidbits on this space.
A silent day in Yellowstone, Winter 2013.
Iron Spring Creek near Black Sand Basin in Yellowstone National Park on a very, very, black and white day. So black and white that when you convert a photograph taken in color to BW you hardly notice a difference.

Away from the digital world today…
In spite of lacking heat the winter sun still warms the day.
Seeing silence in the landscape lets the mind relax and a little down time for the mind is needed from time to time.

As the colorful hills lead into the stormy mountains beyond the only sound I heard was silence.

Although it feels like there is space between nothing actually separates the earth and sky. They meet as one and continue on.

While hiking along the trail on a sunny November afternoon this little Chipmunk scurried hurriedly past of us started digging through the pine litter right beneath our feet. Within seconds what appeared to be a fungus or perhaps a tuber (heck it could have been a piece of petrified cheese) was extracted from the ground and enjoyed on the spot.
