The end of the semester is a hectic time for a college professor…why did I assign all those research papers? No time for complicated photography but the iPhone is always handy in the pocket and yes..it is Friday and it is going to be OK.

Thanksgiving is a simple holiday, gather with family and friends and enjoy the day with good food. It really is the simple things I am most thankful for. My wonderful wife Christy, family, a beautiful hiking trail full of wonders and time spent outdoors. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, everywhere.

Photographed in the bentonite hills outside of Grand Junction CO. When I was shooting this boulder a person walked over to ask what I was photographing. I pointed to the rock and they responded with oh…artsy photos. I just had to smile and nod yes.
