A week or two ago on a Sunday morning just about at a time I would consider brunch time we watched this Muskrat repeatedly climb up and down the river bank picking mouthfuls of grass, carrying them back to the river, swimming along to his favorite spot and them munching away to their hearts content. No endless mimosas at this brunch buffet but the grass sure looked good.

Ohh! Remember that song Muskrat Love by, umm, I don’t recall. I always wondered what a muskrat looked like. Thanks Mike. ππ

Hi and yes that song is probably the bane of muskrats everywhere :-).
Glad to acquaint you with a muskrat.

Great pictures. I really like the fact it’s wet in the cold winter–obviously with some great insulation.

Hi and yes this little guy must have a wonderful coat. Usually I only see them swimming and don’t get a good look at them on the bank like I did that day. Hope your weekend isn going well.
