Out in eastern Colorado lies a true gem the Pawnee Butte located in Pawnee National Grasslands. This one was photographed with my old Minolta X-700 on Kodak Tmax film on a very grey winter day.

Thanks, with an unusual grey day like that BW just felt the right choice to load into the old camera.

What a rock formation. It’s like earth’s history right before your eyes! I love the soft clouds juxtaposed against the hard bedrock.

Thanks for stopping by here as well. Edward Abby is an inspiration every time I read him. When I walk around town and see endless construction and development I just think progress…or Fools Progress. Have a great weekend and thanks for writing about Mr Abby.

My last film camera was a Minolta X-700!! It was a very good camera and I took many pictures with it, mostly of my kids growing up and family events. Had it before I got into bird photography and scenic images. I didn’t discover digital until my last child was out of college.

Cool, I recently dug the X-700 out of a box of photo gear and started suing it just for fun and that it is. There is no way I would want to use it for birds or wildlife but when the landscape is there and the timing is right it is fun to go back.
