What a wonderful moment you captured! I grew up in Montana and we had a bull, cow and calf moose that lived by a small creek. In the summertime, I would work clearing brush around our property, sharing quiet solitude with these beautiful creatures, always remembering to keep my distance. I look forward to viewing more of your impressive portfolio 🙂

Thanks, I most enjoy observing animals when they appear to be relaxed. I am envious of the time you got to spend with the moose family. I also enjoy your poetry, photos and perspective. All the best. Mike

I hope you were far away – cows with calves can be a bit crazy, but I heard rutting bulls are even crazier! I imagine you are very quiet and non-threatening, your photos prove that!

Hi Eliza, we did keep a safe distance for sure. We tried to just peek our from behind some bushes and let the moose be moose. It was really fun to get to observe these two.
