    1. Hi, hope your week is off to a great start. It is indeed very difficult to predict the next location of a diving grebe. When we are photographing them we use their dives as an opportunity to sneak up further towards the shore and get closer.

  1. Any chance you’ve come across an old National Geographic magazine about Western Grebes, by Gary Necterlein (sp?)? Beautiful work by Gary ‘way back in the ’80s. Worth looking up if you’re a western Grebe fan!

    1. Hi, thanks for the info. I have not seen that story so I will have to give it a google and see if the story is available. Hope your week is off to a great start. This weekend wee spotted a pair of red-necked grebes with a nest. A rarity in our neck of the woods.
