I was in Lapland in December on a congress some years ago. We were lucky and saw several Northern lights. Although I am used to snow coming from Austria, there was unbelievable much snow everywhere. It was a beautiful winter scenery in twilight. I would love to go there in summer to see the area with midnight sun.

Of course, this is a beautiful shot! I love the area of RMNP with all of the Elk…not sure if this is that spot, but I have some photos of all their heads poking out of the grass…they are such beautiful animals!
Hi Hagen, I am not sure of the exact spot in RMNP where we got this photo but I agree with you that it is a great place to be able to see these wonderful.

Thanks, there are quite a few elk in the Rocky Mountain National Park and it is fun to be able to see this behavior happening.

so far,, I have only seen elks in Finland. In Austria, we only have roe deer.
