Snowing, blowing and chilly. Winter has arrived. On Christmas it began to snow but now it is just downright chilly -7 F (-21C) this morning with light snow and a bit of a breeze. Tonight it is forecast to be -14 F (-25C). Time to throw that extra blanket on the bed.

But it’s a beautiful brrrrr. π

Hi, Christmas morning started quite warm but by the evening it was snowing and now it is cold and blowing. Only a couple more days and we are forecast to be back to seasonal temperatures and perhaps the cold with work it way east towards you. Wishing you a very happy new year filled with fun and adventure.

Beautiful photo, but holy crap, that looks unbearable! I thought it was bad here (-8 C with a windchill of -18 C).

Hi Amy and thanks for the feedback. It was indeed cold and a double down day, vest and jacket that is along with big old mitten and the warm boots but when you are warm it is warm. Wishing you a very happy new year filled with fun and exciting photo opportunities.

It is pretty! You’re made of tough stuff if you’re just now getting around to adding an extra blanket to the bedding. I would have done that a month ago, and be adding a 3rd or 4th by now with those temperatures!
Stay warm, and have a Happy New Year!

Well, it got real cold real fast so we might just have to skip the first extra blanket and got straight to the third or fourth.
Thanks and we will keep warm for the new years.

Low teens tonight, but getting warmer through the weekend – snow on Sat. nite. I was just getting used to leaving the snow boots behind – the reprieve was nice!

It is nice to have that little break in the weather. Hope your snow whitens things up and you get a bit of sunshine after the snow has fallen.

You have me shaking in my boots! Here in Nebraska we have the same cold temps, but minus all that snow! For some reason the snow makes it look that much worse! Stay warm, my friend!

Having never experienced more than a light snowfall once in my Australian life, it’s hard for me to comprehend how cold this must feel. It just looks beautiful to my naive, heat affected mind. π Happy new year!
