Good Night Heron

Flying off into the sunset we say good night to a Black Crowned Night Heron. Not a bad way to end the day. Photographed with an older, forgotten and long gone, point and shoot camera on an evening walk in Ferndale CA. a few years back.

  Thanks Eliza, it was a fun place to see these guys as we saw hundreds roosting in the trees at sunset that evening on our travels but only really got a glimpse. Hope your weekend ins off to a great start.

      Not eagles but night herons. I wish there were hundreds of eagles but that would require a trip to Alaska some day and that would be very fun indeed.
