It’s interesting that he is feeding in the seaweed. I wonder if his predecessors have adapted to the high salt content, which most land birds can’t tolerate?

Hi Eliza, either he is adapted or is going to have a sore belly as he collected several worm while I was watching. He looks a bit different than the Robins at home just a bit darker and a bit slimmer so maybe a geographic variation exists.

We have the same experience seeing them everywhere in Connecticut, although I don’t think I’ve seen one in seaweed.Nice picture!
