She’s pretty. Are they also randomly walking about and can suddenly appear on the road? Often an unhappy happenstance.. The closest I’ve come to a cow moose and her calf was about 3 meters for the cow and less for the calf because of random road crossing. They were magnificent!
It’s weird to write “moose”, over here we call them “elk”. Geographic differences in word use can be a little confusing sometimes.

Hi, yes several moose and calves are killed each year due to autos in this area.
As for the differences we also call deer what many in Europe call elk.
