A little midwinter warmth we picked up in Spring Island off the west coast of Vancouver Island last August. Stored in a well sealed container and brought out for just the right occasion.
Hi Kathy and thanks, perhaps on the 10th birthday of the blog but that is a long way off and my selection would probably change on a daily basis. One thing I will do is keep posting what see. Thanks again for you kind words as they are appreciated.
This may sound strange but I enjoy shoveling snow these days. Gives me a feeling of accomplishment which seems to be lacking when doing a more desk-ish like job for work. Also reminds me of being a kid in some way.
So long as it is powder, I don’t mind it either, but if it is the heavy wet stuff, forgeddaboutit! I imagine your snow is mostly powder? Nice that it makes you a bit nostalgic. 🙂
Hi Agatha, The west coast of Vancouver island is indeed a wonderful place and one that seems to have a bit of wild left for one to use to recharge the batteries when they are low. Hope you are having a great weekend.
lovely sunset 🙂

Thanks, and it sure is wonderful to be on the ocean and facing west to see that ball of fire do its thing.

You got it…are you getting the snow this weekend?

No, amazingly, we were right on the western edge and it slipped right on by to our south. We have no snow to speak of – a weird winter for us!

Well, I wish we had a good storm. It has been far too long since we were snowed in for a fews days and work was closed down.

I was relieved, I don’t like shoveling or snowplowing the driveway!

Upon second thought, I might feel different if we had wet snow.

Hi and Spring Island is a small Island on the west coast near Kyuquot. It was the base for a kayaking trip we took to the Brooks Peninsula.
