Even in the middle of the winter there is the warm glow of the afternoon sun to temper the chill off the cold pacific ocean. A bit of contrast therapy to help recover from those weekend chores…or fun. Mendocino Headlands, Mendocino, CA.
Hi yes the light was kinda making its way through the waves. I was waiting for a wave to crash high enough to be full covered by the sun but I missed it by a few seconds.
I love this!!! I so miss the ocean…

Hi, yes we need a dose of the ocean every 8 months or so if only for a day or two. This photo was of that latest dose. Hop your Monday has been great.

Hi Jane, this was taken in late Dec and we heard the surf was high that day as well.

I’ve never heard the term “contrast therapy” till now.
You’ve got a big ol’ sun there.

He Steve, yes a big ol’ sun for sure. My favorite form of contrast therapy is a bout in the sauna followed directly by a dip in the cold pool.
