You get some of the most beautiful and varied ducks I’ve ever seen. I did see 3 pairs of hooded mergansers the other day at a nearby pond for the first time and was thrilled!

Three pairs of Hoodies would sure make me smile. Right now most of the waterfowl in the city has left for the season but soon the spring will bring new arrivals but they live further away up in some of the more mountain lakes. It is the quiet season now.

Thanks, we only see these guys around for a short time each spring then they move further north. Probably hanging out on the same lakes as the loons. Hope your day is going well and you have a wonderful weekend.

Hi, we only see the blue winged teals as they migrate through the area so get to observe and photograph them is always a treat.
