    1. I agree Mary, a very special and short lived time. This bird enjoying tier time alone in a pond that may only last for a week or two. A bit of a lesson for us all. Hope you have a great weekend.

    1. HI LB, yes we did get lucky a bit in that the stilt walked wight through the small sun reflection in the pond. it really helped thee lighting and made the shadow strong. Hope your week is off to a great start.

    1. Thanks Ross, we only get to see stilts as they pass through on the spring migration and usually in these transient pools created by spring rain storms. Thanks for your feedback and taking time to leave it. It is always a treat to see a new bird or one you don’t see often so I can relate to your seeing that black-winged stilt.
