Mike – I love an image of a Hawk on a fence post, and shoot them often. Here in the Carson Valley, I use a wide open aperture to blur the colors in the background because we don’t have beautiful scenery like this. Excellent aperture choices to bring out a great background and make the shot! Thanks!

Hi and thanks, sometimes we open up the aperture as well and really like the effect. We also try to sometimes show both an animal and their environment but with varying degrees of success. It’s seems tough to be able to do both adequately. This one turned out and we are pleased you enjoyed it. Hope you are having a wonderful Wed.

Yes, the pendulum we seem to be riding on just started swinging quite a bit faster and perhaps further than it has swung before.
