We went out yesterday morning and it was cold (-20C) cold. Yet the water was flowing over this small drop along the Platte River in South Denver.
A pinhole camera is a great tool for cold weather photography. No batteries, no mechanical parts and I can operate it with mittens on.

I love it!

Have you tried pinhole photography with a digital camera?

Hi jim, I have tried using one of the digital pinhole lens covers but don’t like the overall result. Seems to lack the random quality as well as the quality of images done with film. Also given the long expose time required any dust spots on the sensor really show up on the image.

Thanks for your response. Dust on the ccd array would become a problem. I read some articles where people described the challenge. Dust appears quite large on a tiny array.
