Taking time to soak up natures magical settings is something I think most people take for granted. Just a quick snap for social media, and then onto the next.
It does feel like taking time is quite undervalued in our culture where checking off boxes on the to do list has become a priority even during our free time. It’s like you have to slow down so you can tell yourself to slow down. Have a great weekend and thanks again for the feedback.
Hi Shannon. glad you had a nice trip out west and I agree that the geology is both laid bare to see and something that is hard to soak up. Hope your week is going well.

I think the stark stretches of land in the West put things in perspective and force us to slow down-for our own good.
Hi Tanja, yes we are lucky to have so much space and that space between those magical places and driving that space does allow us to slow down at bit.

Hi Ed, I hear you loud and clear on the quick snap for social media and off to the next place and have see it all to often.
Nature has the best composition and colour scheme; I took a moment and noted that bright sweep of blue along the horizon. We too have blue mountains.
Hi Mary, the colors in the rocks at Dinosaur National Monument are wonderful and so diverse. The little blue in the rock is quite unusual indeed.
Very nice photo!
Thanks Camie, the landscape in dinosaur is amazing and indeed time well spent enjoying it. Hope you have a great weekend.
I agree, time to soak is the best way to understand the landscape.
