Williamson’s Sap Sucker

A wonderful looking Williamson’s Sapsucker rests in a dimly light forest in Yellowstone NP.

Not a common sighting for us so we sure felt lucky to see him that day and had to sped a little trying to correctly ID this guy.

Wonderful photo! It’s tough to get a good shot of the yellow belly because that’s usually toward the tree 🙂

  Hi, we did get lucky that day with this guy sitting and resting on that wonderful lichen covered branch exposing that bright yellow underside. He was quite a colorful fellow.
