With frost dusting the trees along the shoreline a small group of Canada Geese forge for a morning meal. Sooner than later the lake will be frozen over and silence will replace noise in landscape wearing a blanket of snow.

Wow! What a nice winter shot!
Hi and thanks, yes winter has arrived early this year.
You’re welcome!
love it!
Thanks and thanks for taking the time to leave us some feedback. We appreciate and wish you a wonderful week.
What a fantastic photo! (The lower half would make a lovely Christmas card.) Despite the honking geese which one can’t hear in a photo, the scene is very serene. 🙂
Honking geese are a wonderful reminder of the cycle of the season. Like saying late fall has arrived.
This morning, flying ahead of the cold front, I saw a huge flock by our standards, close to 100 birds at least. Getting out of Dodge just in time!
I did hear it was going to get a bit chilly out in your neck of the woods. Those geese have the right idea.
Wish I was going with them! 😉
Great early winter image!
Thanks Adam, it was a fine morning.
Wow, that is gorgeous!
Thanks Ellen. Hop your week is off to a great start.
Thanks! Cold has descended here, Mike, nothing like what you experience but it feels mean! We’ll get a little bump once this front passes.
Stunning shot.
Thanks, It was a lovely morning.
