Welcome to nature has no boss the photography and thought blog of Michael Bizeau and Christine Schultheis.
We are inspired by nature and that which happens of its own accord and view “nature” not as a thing or a place but as a process we are all a part of. We hope you enjoy the images we present here and you can take some time to look around and become inspired by the wonderful planet we live on.
“When you have seen one ant, one bird, one tree, you have not seen them all.”
E. O. Wilson

Michael, You’ve got some interesting shots here. I’m looking forward to see what else you develop over the next while. I’m glad that you found some of my own captures interesting.

I only live close enough to yellowstone to visit once or twice a year. Sort of an annual pilgrimage so to speak. It is especially wonderful in the winter.

I really like the photos you’re posting here, and the words to go with them. I always think it puts the scene in context to know how and when the photo was taken. You seem to capture so many of the spontaneous and unexpected elements of nature – great work!

Good morning, Michael,
I too enjoy seeing your photos.Thank you. 🙂
You are welcome to take a look at mine as well, at http://terrasseaudrey.wordpress.com
There is one little negative comment I need to make, though. In your “about” section you have a common spelling error: “that which happens of it’s own accord” This must be, “that which happens of its own accord” with no apostrophe in “its.” “It’s” means “it is” or “it has” and I’m sure that’s not what you mean. I just thought you’d like to change that.
Respectfully,
aj

Hey thanks for checking out my work. I like your no-fuss, natural style of capturing landscapes; I get a bit sick of all the HDR stuff and it’s nice to seed nature in its own beauty.

Thanks Hayden, I am with you on the sometimes misuse of HDR photography, when taken to the extreme it appears unnatural and not even pleasing to look at at least in my opinion. Maybe it is just like most new technologies and will take time for us to get a grip on how and when to use it.

Hi Mike:
Thanks for stopping by my blog On The Wing. Like you I divide my time between teaching (middle school, not university) and exploring the natural world. I love the diversity of your photography, both of subjects and styles. The pinhole images are especially unique and interesting. I was also struck by “The Mallard” photo. I couldn’t have said it better myself…there are so many of them, but none are “common.” Looking at a familiar thing in a whole new way is always an amazing experience – great job in capturing that idea.
Keep up the good work!

Pat, thanks for taking the time to write such a thoughtful comment. Your job teaching middle school has got to be much tougher than any I can think of. I do enjoy all types of photography and the pinhole images are something I am also fond of. Your passion for nature is evident in your blog and also very inspiring. Thanks again and have a great holiday season.
