Just as this Bee said adios to the flower we have said adios to our prolonged indian summer. A few light frosts and the lack of sunlight have done in the veggie garden for the year. Yet compared to previous years the mild fall allowed things to grow a few weeks longer and that means one last bowl of fresh tomato soup for dinner tonight.

We seemed to have settled into a very late fall like weather pattern as of late with sunshine appearing mid-morning then giving way to cloudy afternoon skies. We spotted this good looking Red Tailed Hawk on one of those cloudy afternoons perched on the remnants of a very fall looking tree.

In a forest that felt Black and White a lone Cottonwood leaf has fallen but has yet to hit the ground. Clear Creek Greenbelt in Wheatridge, CO. Around here summer is gone but still hanging on.
