After a Day of Work
After a busy day at work we all need some nature therapy. On this day the early evening thunderstorms were rolling in, but heck, things are green, a beam of light is shining through the clouds and if you walk to just the right spot in this busy Denver area park you get a perspective that allows you to breathe.
Scattered Showers
Scattered Showers over the Rocky Mountains were a perfect way to cap off what was mostly a sunny day spent in the Arapahoe National Wildlife Refuge. Forecast for tomorrow…scattered late day showers. Better set the alarm for another early start.
Distant Glow
While it was getting dark and a wee bit chilly at our campsite near the Rasmussen glacier, the sun was still shining brightly on the Karle glacier around the corner casting an orange glow in the distance that warmed my chilly bones. Photographed while kayaking in East Greenland last summer.
Three Peaks
Looking up from our camp near the fjords at three peak magnificent mountain peaks in East Greenland. Over the horizon the view continues with endless peaks and glacier filled seas. Summer, 2013.
Boulder
Photographed in the bentonite hills outside of Grand Junction CO. When I was shooting this boulder a person walked over to ask what I was photographing. I pointed to the rock and they responded with oh…artsy photos. I just had to smile and nod yes.
Clouded top

WInd over Rock
Unseen but ever present the wind works its magic, sculpting rock into magnificent works of art. Photographed on a windy fall day near the top of Mt Evans, CO.
