Five

Five

Awhile back we spent the morning trying to photograph a large group of swallows feeding on a pond. They were buzzing back and forth and getting good shots was quite a chore. Although nothing in this photo is in perfect focus it really represents the feel of being in that large group of feeding swallows trying to get a photo.

Sunset

Sunset

It’s been very windy here in Colorado the last few days so a nice tranquil sunset feels like a needed contrast. Setting sun over calm water captured with Holga Pinhole camera a few years back.

Behind the sunrise.

Behind the sunrise.

Wouldn’t it be great if we had eyes in the back of our heads. While watching the sunrise one morning in Belize I turned around to find the clouds behind me glowing pink and the water smooth as glass. Photographed with a Zero Image pinhole camera and Kodak Ektar film on Glovers Atoll in Belize.

Black and Tan

Black and Tan

Not the drink and the photo does have a little white….. but what the heck. The earth demonstrating once again it is alive and in the dead of winter makes a beautiful sight. Photographed in Yellowstone National Park.

Hoodies

Hoodies

After three very cold days there is very little open water around for the ducks. However, this group of hooded mergansers found a patch and seem to be enjoying the late afternoon sun on a very cold day.

Cold Road Home

Cold Road Home

A forgotten photograph I came across on the computer taken on cold quiet road on a long drive home several years ago that was a good fit for today given it did not get above 0 degrees Fahrenheit yesterday and it will be mighty cold today as well. Finally a winters winter day and I am fine with that but somewhere down that road summer does exist..
