It was indeed past my bedtime but technically you can’t get in trouble for that when the sun never really sets. The summer sunset skimming the horizon and hiding behind the mountains of East Greenland, 2013.

Scattered Showers over the Rocky Mountains were a perfect way to cap off what was mostly a sunny day spent in the Arapahoe National Wildlife Refuge. Forecast for tomorrow…scattered late day showers. Better set the alarm for another early start.

A simple sunset points to the wonder of it all. We are floating on a beautiful ball in a endless sky. How amazing is that. One spring night outside Fruita, CO.

We pulled over to tell these cows they were gonna get wet but they just did’t seem to give a hoot. I on the other hand jumped back into the car and headed the other direction.

This year the afternoon showers seemed to have returned on a regular basis, greening things up, but more importantly a sense of rhythm to the day that was absent over the last few years when the showers were infrequent. Weather adding a beat to the rhythm of life. Photographed while driving a quiet road near Walden, CO.

Storm moving down the track in New Mexico.

Feathered sky in a rocky landscape with the sea behind my eyes. Sky as well as land and sea are all a part of place. Understanding what they do is knowledge of that place.
Today is world wide pinhole photography day and I will be out with the pinhole cameras having fun the pinhole way.
In honor of the day a couple of my favorite pinhole shots from the archive. I hope to process this weeks film before weeks end.
Above a sunrise on Clear Creek and Below a sunset on a late spring evening. Hope your WWPD is a fun one.

A golden sunrise is a good way to be welcomed into a Monday morning and the possibilities of the new day.
