January Afternoon
Oh it’s still winter, but even on an early January afternoon you can feel spring inching ever closer. The shadows cast from the trees are still long. There is still plenty of snow on the ground yet change is in the air on this January afternoon.
A quiet start
After the hoopla it’s nice to have a nice quiet start to the New Year.

You might not be able to see into the distance but there is still plenty to look at.

Built form the earth and carved by the sea.
Nature’s a fortress protecting me.
Before my memory fails me
As December welcomes me with ever chillier mornings.
It feels like a nice day to remember what will be again.

At the park
while on a walk at a local park a branch fallen from an old Cottonwood tree reminded me to stop see the long view and the long view is mostly unknown. Zero Image 2000 pinhole camera and Kodak Tmax 100 iso film.
At Rivers edge
The rivers pace has slowed as the mountain snowmelt that gives it life has become a trickle.
The summer sun has moved to the south and the shadows are getting long.
The golden colors shout look at me yet whisper of the winter that is to come.

Not So Long Ago
A beautiful early November sunset on a local pond. Not so long ago but far away. The the leaves are all down and now the colors in the sky have changed into their winter shades.
