Listening to Frogs
On a quiet days drive between diverse landscapes we listened to frogs at each destination. Some expected,
some unexpected,
and one a complete surprise.
Although we never saw a single frog that day their song still lingers on. Ribbit!
A Day Spent In Dinosaur
With Mud sliding down mud to make patterns you could imagine as ancient bones.
Pinyons and Junipers that speak of their age.
Slickrock ascending into the sky.

Junior
On a recent trip to Yellowstone NP we watched this young mountain goat along with his mother feeding on some nice fresh greens not far from Mammoth Hot Springs. It is always fun to get to see these guys and this youngster just looked so sweet in his classic mountain goat pose on top of a rock.
Pronghorn
…or Antelope depending on who you are speaking to.
Able to out run the long extinct North American version of a Cheetah but never one to pass up having their portrait taken if you sit still for awhile and ask nicely.
Canyon of Color
Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone on a quiet fall afternoon.
Enough color for a lifetime or at least a lifetime of viewing.

The Herd
Steadily moving along as the sun rises beyond. A herd of Bison trimming the grasslands, maintaining the soil and keeping the ecosystem chugging along.
