Torn between photography and crawling into a warm sleeping bag after a long days hike I took this shot around midnight last summer on a misty evening in East Greenland.

Don’t sleep in Greenland! Couple of years ago I was there in late summer and can’t beat the temptation of sleep. The price I paid was missing the dancing aurora at that night…

I adore photos where you’re not qite sure where the sea ends and the sky begins. Thank you for staying up!

Thanks, it is really cool when you look out and it seems like the sea and the sky are one. It really creates such a different feeling as out reference point on where we are seem to be altered and when the reference is altered so are we.

Sleeping bags will always be there; the moment will not. 🙂 Nice how the rocks and ice stand out sharply against the softness of the sky and water.

Thanks Dave and I whole heartedly agree although when you are tired the sleeping bag sure has a strong attractive force.
