Looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Terminator.

I am glad this truck was more mild mannered than the terminator.

This is a fantastic photo! There’s an abundance of these around the outlying areas of Dallas/Ft.Worth, but the landscape isn’t nearly as wonderful 🙂

Thanks for the comment as it is appreciated. Go out and shoot the old trucks they will soon be gone.

Good question! I’d vote for the garbage pile, but I’m glad you got the picture first. 🙂

Thanks Dave. It is a tough question to have a single answer to. I would also call this garbage now but if this were here in the future I could picture the truck as history but that history is not real.

awesome picture! one question though, for which I’m sure I’m probably being stupid, but what is that light source from headlamp?

Reflection of the sun, I would have thought.

Right on. Mostly sun but accentuated in Lightroom.

Thanks for the feedback. The light source was the sun reflecting off some broken glass. However, I did brighten up the reflection in Lightroom a bit.

With that background, I would call it art! 🙂

I would agree.

History! And I guess I’d also call it art. There’s something beautiful about abandoned things, especially if we call them “ruins” 🙂

Thanks. I would suspect your answer is history. Also, thanks for all your great photos. It really helps me, living in the west, appreciate the current world in parts of the Midwest. Thus your depiction of history reflects today to me.. Thanks.

Thank you, and humbly, you are welcome. Likewise I must thank you for sharing your vision of your world through your photos. You capture the beauty and magic of the west so well, the place I have wanted to be since I was a child and hope to one day again be present in person. In the meantime your images help keep that dream alive.

Thanks for the kind words. I myself am a midwest transplant but that was a long time ago and right out of high-school. If the card align I hope you can spend some time in the west. Wishing you all the best.

It’s art. I have visited one of these structures to the passage of time for a fun photo op on a ranch nearby. See post: Back on the Ranch http://visualfling.com/2013/08/01/afieldintx/
