Gorgeous view Mike! That marine layer has sure helped to cool us down.
I don’t think those are Lupines though. I think they’re called Echium Candicans or Pride of Maderia.
They’re very pretty and attract Butterflies. Correct me if I’m wrong please!
Well, You are most likely correct on the flower. I probably just lupine in my head and it stuck without further research of the plant. Thanks for setting straight it is a pleasure to learn something new via the post. No cooling here this week in CO as it is HOT.
Thanks Caroline, I am longing for the ocean the last few days as it has been somewhat hot here in the Rocky Mountains and a nice cool sea breeze would be a very pleasant right now. Have a great evening.
I am from the pacific northwest. Living in another part of the country currently. I wasso sad to miss and the Lupine and Foxgloves this year- we dont see them so much here on the plains. This picture really made me miss home. Its a wonderful photograph- and you are a wonderful photographer. Shine on
Thanks for the kind comments. Absence sure makes the heart grow fonder or so they say. I live in the Rocky Mountains but savor my visits to the oceans so I am in a similar boat. Hope you are having a great weekend.
I could not agree more about there being magic where land and sea meet. The diversity of those two intersections is also a marvel for rough and craggy to soft and sandy. Hope you are having a great day and thanks for the feedback as it is appreciated.
Breathtaking!!!!

Thanks Eliza, the only way it well end up on a card or calendar is if I print them myself. 🙂
Perhaps we can consider this post my daily greeting card?

According to legend, “White Christmas” was written in an analogous mood–longing for winter during a hot summer. May your longing be creative.
