A deep blue summer sunset on Shoshone Lake in Yellowstone National Park is just what the doctor ordered for a post holiday Tuesday morning in which inertia of a three day weekend wants to keep me at home instead heading off to work. The ball just gets rolling in one direction then you push it back in the other. Oh well, time to get off to the office and play my part in the game.

Love this – layers of color and the arc of reflected light near the opposite shore is perfect!

Thanks Eliza, I don’t get to see sunset like that very often with the symmetry of landscape and sky in reflection. It was a good one. Hope you are enjoying your day.

Enjoying the heat – these are the last warm days of summer. Gotta store up for the long winter!

Soaking up the last of the heat is a good idea and doing a little dance for a long Indian summer as well might be something to consider. Have a great day.

Perfectly serene!! You could just find a sense of peace at a spot like that away from our hurried world!!

Yes, this is the largest lake in the the Lower 48 that does not have a road to it so it is indeed serene and way less hurried.
