Eyjafjallajökull

Hiking up high towards the summit of Eyjafjallajökull. Volcanic rock, sky, snow melting into water on its way to the sea and space enough to feel at ease.

  1. Ha, I’m impressed, you even saw this volcano which eruption prevented my vacation in Iceland. I had already booked. 😉
But anyway, your picture makes me want to look over the edge. I hope you didn’t take a portrait of someone and told them to “just step back a bit more… and just a tiny bit more… whoops!”… 😉 (sorry 😀 )

    1. In a way it was very much like the dawn of time. That volcano had recently erupted and much of the rock was from that eruption. Fresh new rocks and melting glaciers all in one place. Genesis indeed. Hope your evening id going well.

Wow, very cool. Hope you have plenty of time in Iceland. There’s soo much to see and be amazed. Been in that area, too, though not on top of a glacier, and will never forget it. Have you seen the Gigjökull?

Enjoy your time and take care. Oh, and of course, thank you for the great picture and dear reminder of this place of wonder.
