When I’ve stayed on campsites in the US there would quite often be a Stellar’s Jay perched on the end of the picnic table hoping for a bit of breakfast.
Ah, these guys are such loud mouths, they chase everyone away but the woodpeckers! Being of the same family as blackbirds, not one of my favorite birds, but they are comical at times and that head dress they wear is quite fitting.

HI, yes these guys are opportunistic and know how to get an easy meal. I love seeing them around as they do add a nice splash of color to my day.

Hi, even though they may not be your favorite they seem to have made an impression on you. Funny how that happens. I also love their little hair-do.

Hmm..they look as lovely as our european jay and probably just as much of a villain and loudmouthed at that!.

Hi Paula, they guys are indeed villainous at time or shall we call it opportunistic or then again perhaps intelligent.

I was thrilled to see these beautiful birds a few years ago, when we visited the redwoods. Truly beautiful!

Thanks LB, The sun would be nice right about now as we are having uncharacteristically cloudy and cold weather the last few seeks.
